Senior AMSA Representative

As your 2017 AMSA Representative, it is my role to ensure that our collective voice as Bond University medical students is heard. By holding think tanks each semester and running surveys, I endeavour to ensure that you have an opportunity to share your views and concerns. I also endeavour to maximize student engagement in AMSA led events which include the National Convention, Global Health Conference and Council. I also want to place a particular focus on the annual Vampire Cup to continue our amazing success last year.

Junior AMSA Representative

As Junior AMSA Representative for 2017, my role is to assist Haleem and liaise between Bond’s Medical students and the Australian Medical Student’s Association. This year I am aiming to help Haleem promote events from AMSA, such as the conventions and councils held throughout the year as well as bringing local concerns to a national level. This can also involve getting our students involved in attending AMSA events, which is a great opportunity to network and learn more about yoru rights as a medical student. Contact me if you’d like to know more or get involved!

Kavinda Jinendradasa

Kavinda Jinendradasa

Social Director

Hi, my name‘s Kavinda but most people call me Kav and I’m a Brissy boy. I‘m your social director for the calender year 2017. I’m very excited and keen for what lies ahead this year. I‘m keen to learn from those senior members of the committee and take ideas and implement them into the social calendar in 2017. Being relatively young, I feel this fresh mindset will direct me to new and exciting things which I can deliver to the student body. I have a special interest in sport and music. Hopefully in 2017, our team can get some alternative events up and running which diverge a bit from the usual. I’m really excited to undertake this responsibility and hope to deliver a stellar 2017 keeping what‘s good as is and making up on what could be done better. Feel free to contact me with any ideas, suggestions or criticisms- I’m an open book.
